When I die, I’d like my body on display in the middle of our home; just for a few days, couple nights.. you know, to let my family really greave.
We don’t sit with the body like we should. It’s like there’s no transition for our psyche, no transition in experience with the deceased person. At one moment: they alive. They die. Then they are out of site while things are arranged, and then you see their corpse with makeup and filler and fake eyes so they still look alive – (I guess?) – for a little bit. Then in the ground.
If the body is around, we can see the changes and it can be a healthier transition into acceptance of the deceased person.

And do it however one would display a body for being in a home; but if I can choose, I want to be laying in the middle of the living room, in front of a large sectional. If we don’t have a sectional (we’ll have a sectional), but- if for whatever reason we don’t have sectional: get a sectional.
And, I wanna be low. So everyone can still see over me – to talk or watching tv;
But y’know, not on the floor.
Just put me on the coffee table, that’s the perfect height. With a stool or an ottoman for my feet. If you use a stool though, probably make sure its right in the middle to give support. If not and it just by the heels, by the second day or so I might start to look pretty fucked up. Like my legs started doing a yoga pose on their own.

Maybe spare a pillow under my knees if the stool too. An old throw, or old pillow you don’t want anymore is fine; whatever works for me. It would be weird if anyone used their sleeping pillow and then used it again to sleep with, right? Or- I guess, I’d be weirded out to sleep with a dead guy knee pillow. If someone wants to do that I have no problem with that, be my guest; I don’t understand, but I’m happy you love it.

P.S. We better have a sectional, I don’t care if they’re outdated babe; <to what, “standing” couches?> smh.
